"A couple years ago I was talking to a lady I worked with about cars. She said her brother had about 50 cars just sitting around his property. She also said he had "two Cobra cars", Mustangs she thought. I asked if anything was for sale and she said that he had turned down 20K for one of the cars. A couple years have gone by and she told me that he's ready to sell. So of course I went to check out the cars. I found this '70 Torino Cobra-Jet 429 Cobra Jet. I asked how much and he said 19. I thought there's no way I'd pay 19K for this car, so we talked a little longer. Then he mentioned that the original shaker on the car was worth the entire asking price. I stopped dead in my tracks. I asked if he'd tak 17, and he said he'd throw in a parts car for 18. So he was asking $1800, not $18K! Of course, I said yes and got both cars! Turned out to be an original drag-pack car with 3.91:1 rear axle and locker!"

"This truck has been sitting 15 minutes from my house for longer than I've lived here. I've loved this truck from afar since I moved to Indiana. For 8 years I've gone by on the school bus 2 times a day, and stared at it until I got out of sight, and this July I finally got my parents to stop by and ask him about it. I wasn't there, but the older man that owns the house told them that they had just moved out, and that his grandson would be coming to get it soon. Months passed, and finally the end of October, we were passing by and stopped. Just the older man and his wife were there, checking up on the house. We asked him about the truck and he again said his grandson would be coming to get it over Christmas break. By that time, I figured 'There's no grandson he just doesn't want to sell it'. Two days afterwards, on the way home from my championship fall baseball game, there were 2 pickups in the driveway, one belonged to the older man and one to an unknown person. We again, stopped and I got out. Turns out, he, and his son and grandson were all there! From what I can tell, me stopping by urged him to move the truck. I met his grandson who is only a few years older than me, and I'm very pleased to say that he will take care of the truck."
