"This 'Feather' Duster was purchased brand new by my Father, and was my first car before it was parked in 1988. It is a Slant 6 car with factory 3 speed w/overdrive. These Dusters were lightened up for 1976 with aluminum Intake, transmission case, inner hood & trunk, bumper brackets all made from aluminum, and claimed 36 mpg highway. Not many have survived intact as many have been engine swapped and used for drag racing. After sitting for almost 25 years it is undergoing a full restoration."

"I found this '71 Dodge Challenger R/T in the carport of an old house. At least it's covered, but it has been sitting here a very long time. No one was around to talk to about the car. Another abandonded Mopar mystery."
All the Avantis
"I have know about this lot full of 1963 and up Studebaker Avantis for some time, but I did not have my camera at the time. This lot sits off the main road in an industrial park in southern Michigan. The cars are all grouped together and are in different stages of condition. Three are just stripped shells with no engines, interiors or frames. One looks like it was a perfect car, but had caught on fire. Another one is covered with junk and is stripped. Two other ones look like they have solid bodies, but the interiors are gone as is the chrome. The last two look like someone started cutting up bodies, for donors to other Avantis. I did not see any one around to ask if they are for sale."

"Some further information regarding the post made 5/30/13 titled All the Avanti’s. I live and work in that area, the guy who has all the cars restores them, every so often one will be placed on the lot for sale, it’s a slow process as I have only seen 3 Avanti’s on his lot for sale in the last 11 yrs. He also does other cars, a 57 Chevy Bel Air once, several late 70s Ford pick ups. A couple of 60’s hot rods as well. Numerous late model VW beetles, and a Dodge diesel pick up once, and a pretty damned nifty mid 80’s El Camino."
