Abandoned 1970 Mustang Mach I
"A friend of mine purchased a 133 acre farm from his Grandpa and while walking through the woods on a beautiful fall day, I noticed out of the corner of my eye, the tail lights of this copper 1970 Mach I Mustang sitting deep in the woods. After taking a closer look we noticed that the plates indicated it was last on the road in the late 70’s. Although there’s obvious front end damage, the body remains very solid, the trim is all there, the glass is intact and the white interior is in amazingly good condition. I was disappointed to discover that both the VIN tag and engine had been removed. Although my friend grew up in the area and had been in the woods many times as a kid, he knew nothing about the car or where it came from. Pulling it out to the clearing would require cutting down multiple trees that have grown up around it. Not an impossible task but for now it’s being protected by a herd of Angus!"
1969 Camaro Z28 Rescued!
"Steve, I spotted this car back in 1988 when I was 15 years old. I stayed with some cousins of mine for the summer that year and I was just staring to catch the car bug. I always remembered my cousin owning this car after I saw him working on it in an old barn. Even back then I can remember it being a little rusty. Ten years later I got a wild hair and contacted my cousin about the car. He said he still had it out in the cow pasture on the farm. So I asked if I could come look at it and so I did, of course it wasn't for sale and so it sat for another 2 years. A few weeks ago I got an email from my cousin about the car. I made a deal with him and drug it home. It is a one owner numbers matching DZ 302/Z/28 with all the orginal documentation. I have the orginal title from 69, 2 copys of the financing contract from GMAC and the orginal bill of sale from the dealership. My cousin's dad had bought it new in Clarksburg, WV and traded a 1966 396 SS Chevelle convertible in on it. As I was taking it home on my trailer I stopped to get something to eat. As i was getting out of the truck a man came across the street to look at it and said, it's going to be nice when you get it fixed up. I told him it was going to the crusher for scrap metal and he couldn't believe it. I thought it would make a great addition to your website."

1969 Coronet R/T
"Here's an original paint '69 R/T sitting in the woods. I have been trying to get it for years, the guy's brother bought it brand new. The car is all original bumper to bumper. I have cleaned the car and oiled down the fender tag and inner fenders and also tarped the car for better protection. This is a shame, but I won't give up!"
