Dodge 440 Found & Saved
"Last year I came across this 1963 Dodge 440 sitting at the edge of a golf course in Van Nuys, California. The owner said it had been sitting there for about 10 years. He had just installed a new 440 v8 and a rebuilt 727 when he got too sick to work on it. He sold me the car cheap so I pulled it out, gave it a quick white-primer job and got it back on the road. It's hard to believe that it spent so many years getting tagged by golf balls and never had a window broken."

Chicken Coop Chevy Biscayne
"This 1960 Chevy Biscayne had been sitting in a chicken house on the side of a mountain just outside Roanoke, Virgina since 1972. It was pretty basic, a 283 2-barrel, 3-on-the-tree, manual brakes and no A/C. I bought the car at an estate auction. The daughter of the farmer who originally owned it told me that in 1972 they got a new car, so her dad pulled this one in the back of the chicken house, pulled the battery, tossed the keys on the dash, shut the doors, and there it sat for the next 38 years. I've already got it running and roadworthy, but I've got a fair bit of bodywork to do yet."

Way Old Willys
"This Willys has been sitting here for 'as long as he can remember'. It looks pretty solid and complete. The plates say 1972!"
