North Dakota Nova
"I was talking to a good friend of mine who lived on a farm in a small community in North Dakota. He mentioned his parents had an old car in the barn. I showed him a picture book of 1960's cars, and he pointed out a 1963 Nova. So we went to see the car. When I entered the barn, there was a vehicle covered in years of dirt, bird droppings and debris. Sure enough, under all the filth was a 1963 Nova Convertible with 46,000 original miles! I was able to buy the car, and after a little maintenance it was running again. It's all original. I have thought about having it painted, but I think I will leave well enough alone."

"Here are some pics of a 1967 Dodge Coronet 500 2-door hardtop I recently discovered in Chicago, Illinois. By happenstance while driving through an alley in my neighborhood. During an impromptu visit I had a conversation with the current owner. He had purchased it from the original owner (an old lady in the neighborhood) and it only has around 35,000 original miles. All original down to the paint and vinyl top. I'm currently in negotiations to buy it, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Yes, they are still out there!"

Grand National Grand Mess
"Here are the remnants of an '86 or '87 Buick Grand National that I stumbled across in March 2010, near Perth, Ontario, Canada. It had a rough life. It looks to be abused and rotten. It's missing the engine, transmission, front clip and most of the interior. Judging by the amount of excrement in the trunk, it likely also served as a raccoon hotel for a while. I was able to save the steering box, wheels, spoler, axle, springs and some other bits before the rest went for scrap."
